Some weeks I wonder what to start this email with. Other weeks, something like @thetinygallery comes along and makes it all very simple for me.

From Google "We’re happy to announce Magenta, a project from the Google Brain team that asks: Can we use machine learning to create compelling art and music?" The research themes are interesting.
The Digital Museum is where the digital team at National Museums Scotland share "nice things from across the web - examples of great design, UX and digital storytelling".
Europe’s Lab of Labs "Callum Lee reflects on the increasing interest in arts and technology innovation across the EU".
RA250 stories: Digitising the Collection. The Royal Academy takes a look at "what’s involved in bringing artworks and documents from the past into the 21st century".
Digital volunteering: Birmingham Museums Trust. "Providing opportunities to volunteer online is helping Birmingham’s museums to engage with more and more people".
IJC MUSEUM "The virtual IJC Museum in the Cloud allows visitors like you to enjoy modern artworks by Japan’s representative artists. You can view works from all directions with 360° freedom and get so close that you can see the subtlest details and even feel the presence of the artists."
Many & Varied have uploaded the audio of the presentations from Bees in a Tin 2015.
Making the free audio guide for Scorsese. A nice bit of discussion from the ACMI folks (hot on the heels of their post about getting an online shop up and running) and the code has now been open sourced too.
Museum targets the tech-savvy with "digital playground". This is from Singapore, and is interesting enough, but I wish people would stop using that phrase - it's not kid (or work)-friendly.
The Space has opened a new commissioning round. They're looking for projects that bring art to more/a more diverse group of people, places, communities or points of view, or are focused on dance or visual arts, or are led by UK organisations or artists from outside London (or any combination of the above).
UK – India 2017 Digital Open Call. The British Council wants to reach 50 million people in 2017 and so are looking for "brilliant, creative, digital ideas. Five projects will be selected for seed funding of £10,000 each by the end of July".
