‘Dreams, Diaspora, and Destiny’ is an AR mural from Mural Arts Philadelphia. "The project invites viewers to experience a large-scale painting completed on a warehouse at 53rd and Media Streets through the lens of a smartphone app that casts holograms and generates a changing soundtrack as you move from left to right".

Artificial Intelligence

Yamaha Artificial Intelligence (AI) Transforms a Dancer into a Pianist. "Yamaha AI enabled a world-renowned dancer Kaiji Moriyama to control a piano by his movements. The performance was accompanied by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Scharoun Ensemble".
AI App Enhances the Songwriting Process. "Developers from Japan-based startup Amadeus Code recently unveiled a new app that uses deep learning to transform your favorite songs into new compositions".

GIF IT UP is back for a fifth year. It's "an annual gif-making competition for the most creative reuse of digitised cultural heritage material". This year Europeana are running it in close cooperation with Digital Public Library of America, Digital NZ and Trove.
