Hello
In this edition, we’ve got a spooky installation, money being dished out for digital library/collections projects, some broader thinking about digital learning in the cultural sector and a mish-mash of various other things.
Chasing Stars in Shadow is “a story about shadow kids who come and go between 2D and 3D”. It’s by the Korean artist and computer programmer, Joon Moon, who’s been exploring installations featuring ‘augmented shadows’ for more than a decade.

Measuring the economic value of museums and galleries digital offers: an exploratory use of contingent valuation techniques. The report authors wanted to know if you could estimate the value of a museum or gallery’s digital offer using the same economic valuation techniques applied to the traditional ‘offline’ offer. The answer is a tentative ‘yes’ with the caveat that ‘digital offer’ is a slippery concept.
